Brit driver fined 30 pounds for playing car radio too loud!

London, Dec 5 (ANI): A Brit mechanic is said to have been pulled over by the police and fined 30 pounds for playing his car radio too loud.

Chris Cureton, 41, of Seacombe, Merseyside, was listening to rock band ‘The Killers’ as he drove through Wallasey around 10pm after finishing an eight-hour shift last August.

“I’m not some boy racer with a big sound system fitted in my boot,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

“I’m a dad who was driving home from work in a Vauxhall Astra, listening to some music, at what I thought was an acceptable level on my standard factory-fitted car radio.

“I didn’t even know you could get a ticket for playing your radio too loud,” he said.

He appealed against the fine and has been asked to attend Birkenhead Magistrates Court in February.

“I’ve appealed on principle. If there is a legal level of noise that I exceeded I will willingly pay my fine,” the father-of-one said.

“When the only evidence is the opinion of a police officer, however, I feel by paying it I could be setting a precedent for laws to be made up as and when it suits the police.

“I’m still totally baffled and feel like this whole situation is unfair and unjust,” he stated.

Merseyside Police said: “We can confirm that on Friday August 7 an officer issued a fixed penalty notice to a motorist for an incident involving anti-social behaviour in connection with use of a vehicle.” (ANI)

This fine was extremely reasonable and that driver deserved this 30 pound fine from the police.

The music system in the cars should be played in a normal volume so that the driver can even pay attention the the horns and signals of other vehicles.

As we are not the only one driving on the wheels on the road this has to be taken care not one for self safety but for all.
