Lucknow, Nov.9 (ANI): A sweetmeat shop in Lucknow has come up with a novel idea to boost the sale of sweets on Diwali.
Radhey Lal Sweets in Aliganj area of Lucknow has announced that it will offer free gifts ranging from motorbikes to DVD players, refrigerators to microwave ovenss on purchase of a particular quantity of sweets.
“After observing that most of the gift schemes were available with high-priced goods in the market, I thought how about replacing them with comparatively low priced sweets. So, we devised this idea. It is working really well, as the sales of my shop have definitely risen,” said Mukesh Gupta, the owner of Radhey Lal Sweets.
The special gift scheme is linked to most of the sweet varieties available at the shop. The offered gifts depend on the quantity and variety of sweets taken.
You can get a motorcycle after purchasing 551 kilograms of sweets, a microwave oven with 151 kilograms of sweets and a DVD player on purchase of 51 kilograms of sweets. For others, on a purchase of 25 kilograms of sweets, one can enjoy three kilograms of expensive and delicious Kaaju-Burfi made of cashewnuts!
“The scheme is fantastic and innovative in true sense. We saw the advertisement in the newspapers, which just brought us here. We, anyway, would be buying sweets since it’s a festive season. But when great deals are offered here along with a quality and variety, we would certainly look forward to come again.” said Vijay Gujrati, one of the customers.
