Clinton frustrated over her lack of authority?

Submitted by admin on Fri, 09/11/2009 - 01:57

New York, Sep 10(ANI): US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is said to be frustrated over her lack of authority in her position.

Despite her being the secretary of state, the Obama administration also has Richard Holbrooke as the "special representative" for Afghanistan and Pakistan, George Mitchell as "special envoy" to the Middle East.

"President Obama's picks fly in even if they didn't pay their taxes. But, her picks take forever. Plus, she has no real clout over Holbrooke or Mitchell," the New York Post quoted a Democrat, as saying.

According to reports, Clinton is considering quitting the job to retake her old US Senate from New York seat, which is currently held by Kristin Gillibrand. (ANI)
