Eva Mendes gave up her dreams of becoming a nun over salary sadness

Submitted by admin on Tue, 12/01/2009 - 03:14

Washington, Nov 30 (ANI): Eva Mendes has revealed that she gave up her childhood dream of becoming a nun after she found out that they didn't get any salary.

The sexy 'Hitch' star has confessed that she was a "prude" as a child and felt a convent career would be perfect for her.

But it was when her sister revealed the poor truths about nuns that she dropped her plans to run after her dream.

"We grew up, not in a poor, poor family, but lower-middle class; a lot of bills and my mother was always stressing about money and stuff. And I would promise her, 'Mum, I'm gonna buy you a house and pay all your bills one day,'" Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

"My older sister... said, 'How you gonna do all this? Don't you know nuns don't get paid?' And I was like, 'What?'" she added. (ANI)
