Female crew becomes first to row 2,000 miles around Britain's coast

London, July 24 (ANI): An all female crew has become the first to row 2,000 miles around Britain's coast to help raise 100,000 pounds for forces charity Help for Heroes.

Navy nurse Laura Thomasson, 24, British civilians Belinda Kirk, 35, and Bev Ashton, 29, and US marine Angela Madsen, 50, who is wheelchair-bound, passed under London's Tower Bridge to end the 51-day trip.

"I feel brilliant," the Sun quoted Thomasson, who is set to be deployed to Afghanistan in 2011, as saying.

She added the worst bits were "rations and not washing my hair".

The girls were racing a male team - who had to pull out after two weeks. (ANI)
