India, Oman sign pacts
Muscat, Jan 14 (ANI): India and Oman today signed MoUs on setting up of plastic technology training and development institute, and setting up of chartered accountants Institute in Oman.
The two MoUs were signed in the presence of Minister of State for External Affairs E. Ahmad, who has also arrived with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on an Oman visit.
The MoU on setting up of plastic technology training and development institute was signed by the Director General of the Central institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology, Professor S K Nayak and the CEO of Oman and Emirates Investment holding company, Awadh Bam Khalef.
The MoU on setting up of chartered accountants institute in Oman was signed by Institute of Chartered Accountant in India President Sunil Talavi and College of Banking and Financial Studies Dean Iqbal Kamis Al Lawati.
Meanwhile, Mukherjee held a meeting of Indian ambassadors from the Gulf, West Asia and North Africa region yesterday and today. Various policy matters concerning the region, especially strategic issues, bilateral and multilateral ties and economic ties with the regional countries, were discussed. (ANI)
