Indian man on a 15-year-old lookout for lost cousin in Malaysia

Submitted by admin on Tue, 11/17/2009 - 05:08

Petaling Jaya (Malaysia), Nov. 16 (ANI): An Indian man is on a lookout for his lost cousin in Malaysia for the past 15 years.

Sunil Kumar, 39, a Kerala-based manager, says that the search to find his lost cousin Prakash Atteprambil has been futile so far.

Prakash was trafficked into Malaysia along with other Indian nationals in 1994.

Prakash, 53, the third born in a family of six children, is married and has three daughters.

From Prakash's companions who managed to return to India, Sunil learnt that his cousin had apparently gone mad and disappeared from their shared flat soon after agents took their passports and told them to look for jobs.

Sunil said he had asked for assistance through the local media for help in finding Prakash but the effort was fruitless.

He had even requested for help from the Indian High Commision in Malaysia, but to no avail.

Three years ago, a man claiming to have met Prakash in a Malaysian town by coincidence informed Sunil about his cousin's condition.

However, they were unable to get any further information from the man.

According to Sunil, Prakash has light brown eyes and a very prominent scar on the bridge of his nose. Prakash could be bald too.

Sunil is still hopeful of locating his cousin and is appealing to the public for information. (ANI)
