Madonna’s adopted Malawian kids lose their native lingo
London, Oct 28 (ANI): Madonna’s four-year-old adopted Malawian daughter Mercy James has become “a real white girl” as she has completely forgotten her native tongue in just four months after her custody was granted to the pop diva.
Mercy’s adopted brother David Banda, four, is no better when it comes to speaking Chichewa, says Lucy Chipeta of the Mchinji orphanage, where he lived until 2007.
“David had for-gotten us. He remembers a few words,” the Sun quoted Lucy, as saying after Madonna visited the orphanage with Mercy and David.
“Mercy is a real white girl. She couldn’t speak any,” she said.
She added: “I am happy to see David look so happy.
“Madonna’s a very good mother. Her children are well-behaved.
I think she’s more Malawian than American.” (ANI)
