Mariah Carey to receive Breakthrough acting honour
Washington, November 24 (ANI): Singer Mariah Carey is set to receive the Breakthrough Performance Award for her acting skills.
The pop megastar will be honoured at the 21st Palm Springs International Film Festival in January.
The 39-year-old will be credited for her performance in new film Precious, in which she stars as a social worker, reports Contactmusic.
Previous titleholders to bag the accolade include Slumdog Millionaire’s Freida Pinto and Oscar winners Jennifer Hudson and Marion Cotillard. (ANI)
