'Marriage pressure' behind Witherspoon-Gyllenhaal split?

Submitted by admin on Fri, 12/18/2009 - 23:36

London, Dec 18 (ANI): Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon is said to have ended her two-year romance with Jake Gyllenhaal because of the pressure to get married.

According to new reports, the 'Walk the Line' star ended the relationship to concentrate her children, Ava, 10, and six-year-old Deacon, from her marriage to Ryan Phillippe.

However, Gyllenhaal has been left devastated by the split, which "broke his heart," reports US Weekly magazine.

"No one cheated. There was no drama. She felt pressured to wed again but she wasn't ready... She couldn't give Jake enough and she got cold feet. Jake wanted all of her," the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

"She really worried that they didn't have enough in common. When she was giving all of her energy to Jake, she felt like she wasn't giving her kids enough.

"He was great with the kids, but she felt like he didn't get the whole scope of what that entailed," the source added. (ANI)
