Bangalore Police gets police remand of suspected 'techie' terrorist till March 6

Bangalore, Feb 23 (ANI): Yahya Iyash Kamkutty, the alleged terrorist who was arrested from Bangalore, was on Saturday sent to the police custody till March 6.

According to sources, Kamkutty is expected to undergo polygraph tests, brain mapping and narco-analysis.

Bangalore Police believes that 32-year-old Kamkutty may hold the key to cracking a dangerous terror network.

Kamkutty, who is an electrical engineer was once employed at General Electrical (GE) and is suspected to be an active member of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).

Kamkutty became more active in SIMI only after losing his job at GE.

Another arrested terror suspect, Mohammed Asif, had revealed Kamkutty's name and his association with SIMI.

The police had recovered a laptop, hard disc, jihadi material and hundreds of books from his house. (ANI)
