President Patil sees ballet on female infanticide
New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): President Pratibha Patil today saw a ballet titled, “Smruti Sankalp Yatra” that included a cultural and musical presentation on the female infanticide and global warming.
The ballet titled “Ajanmika”, included combined folk and classical dance forms.
The Yuvak Biradari (Bharat) of Mumbai and the Sangeet Natak Academy presented the ballet.
Some 200 school children and about 40 theatre artistes performed in the show.
The Yuvak Biradari (Bharat) was formed in 1974 and aims to be an engine for social development and youth welfare. The organisation concentrates on the social, educational and cultural advancement of society. (ANI)
